About
In 2009, Harriet moved to Santa Fe to study more intensively with Anthony Ryder at the Ryder Studio School. Ms. Robbins plans to move to Northern California where she is pursuing her career in plein air landscape painting, traveling in her small RV paint mobile, capturing the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. She will be offering her “Off Road Art” for sale at this site in 2014.
Harriet L. Robbins was a late comer to painting having spent most of her career in public service. In the last 10 years, she began pursuing her interest in painting by studying at a variety of schools including Truro Center for the Arts, The Provincetown Art Association and Museum, the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. In 2007, she took a portrait painting workshop in Santa Fe, New Mexico with Michel Tully, founder of Studio Escalier in France, and began her quest to improve her technical skills by studying figure drawing and portrait painting with living master realist painters, taking courses with Edward Schmidt, Dennis W. Cheaney and Anthony Ryder.
